Dana,
I have a question. Have you ever seen constellation
therapy
performed? We are getting a lot of questions asked
to whether or not ASD children are
allowed in the audience or is the audience only to be filled with adult members? This question is
of course, not including the 4 family members that will be on stage.
Thanks for any heads up!
Becky
I have been to many Family Constellations & to the training seminar as well. Dr Klinghardt may tell you different on Saturday…but to my knowledge…it would
be
inappropriate & distracting for anyone to bring children!
This
includes the four participating families. If any children are allowed to attend
it will take away from the experience fore everyone else in attendance. I don’t
think Dr Klinghardt ever intended for children (again even participating
families) to be in attendance.
Now
let me back up and explain how Family Constellation sessions work:
One
person is chosen to do the constellation on. That person must have their
‘family constellation” ready to discuss.
This is very
important…think of it as homework…the ones who have their constellation sheet
done will be more readily utilized to perform the constellation on…if it is not
readily available…it may not happen, but with a full day, he will probably do
MANY constellations & go over how to do the chart! (link to good
explanation of how to do this)-
This will include every important
relationship in that person’s life (family up & down as many generations as
memory provides…or better yet do your homework with your oldest living
relatives & find out as much as you can, serious relationships (regular
sexual activity usually means you should include them on your list), aborted
children…I know this one sounds strange, but he has found without proper recognition
of these children in a constellation it causes energetic problems…I have
witnessed this repeatedly, etc.) Next, you attempt to isolate where there are
unresolved issues (untimely death, abuse suffered, horrible relationships,
violence committed toward others, etc.) The person then discusses what health
issue they are concerned about working on…this is cross-referenced against the
“hotspots” on the constellation. From here Dr Klinghardt will choose the key
people for that particular spot from the constellation. He requests volunteers
to “play” the different parts. Usually, a stand in plays the “patient”…like the
child with Autism. Keep in mind that therapy done anywhere in a family
constellation will have impact on the entire constellation..ie…work on mom
effects children & parents!
At
this point, Dr Klinghardt gently guides the “players” in positioning, then it
mostly flows organically! I have been blown away at how these play out with
utter accuracy & emotional depth. (one time a lady brought her TOTALLY
skeptical husband & I chose him to play my dad…by the end he was crying!!!
He didn’t even realize what had happened to him until later I am sure!
For
now I hope this helps…I just got back from Canada & apologized to CK2 &
am tired! If you have more questions just be really specific…& I’ll answer!
If
you have a chance ask Dr Klinghardt about the constellation we did for my son…He
said he had never seen anything like it before…which blew me away…he went on to
say..”it is so obvious your son has chosen to make a sacrifice to teach the
world important things.” …paraphrasing…we then discussed that the work I am
doing will culminate in his healing journey…but they are intertwined!
Can’t
wait to see you all!
Dana
